Acrylic Paintings
These paintings started as a inspirational piece for music. The first canvas was found in the trash later turning into one of the best pieces of the group. Only four colors were used on all these paintings. At first is was because only those colors were available. After creating a few paintings the colors stuck. Using only black, white, red, and Green. Later it was discovered that the green was florescent. 100+ paintings were created.
Sketches
These sketches were created in a concept to describe a working idea of how space could be. Essentially these sketches are their own world. Through the use of comedy the world is explored with various characters. Real world situations that aren't really all that real world at all. This is what happens in space around the astroid belts. All contained in a sketch book there are roughly 100 sketches.
Masks
These masks were created using a Dremel tool. They were an exercise in creating something fun for children but turned into pieces of artwork. Each mask is painted and shaped by hand. Masks are one of the oldest form of art. They are tribal in nature and used to scare off spirits. Revisiting the old craft of building masks was an enlightening and challenging process. More than 30 masks were created for this project.
Marker & Paper
Geometry is sacred in many cultures. This was a study in shapes and layering shapes. Created in my early years of art the medium is markers, pencil, pen, and paper. There are various designs that were created for this project and a few were framed to put on display in a Chicago gallery. There are roughly around 28 pieces that were created for this project.
